Frequency analysis
In the 30 drawings of Mega Millions leading up to September 11, 2026, each number in the 1 to 70 main pool was expected to appear about 2.1 times on average.
Of the five main numbers drawn, 30 had been running hot, appearing at least 25% above average frequency in the prior window. That's the Frequency Method's primary signal, and these are the kind of numbers it would have flagged as elevated heading into this drawing.
3, 33, 62 had been running cold, appearing below 60% of expected frequency in the prior window. Cold numbers winning is common and expected. "Cold" describes past behavior, not future probability.
The single most overdue main ball going into this drawing was 11, with a deficit of 2.1 appearances versus expected. It did not appear. Overdue numbers identify which balls are statistically lagging, but each draw is independent, so a lagging number is not "due."
30 also appeared in the previous drawing. Back-to-back appearances of the same number happen at roughly the rate random chance predicts.
Zone distribution: 1 from the low third (1 to 23), 2 from the mid third (24 to 46), and 2 from the high third (47 to 70). The Frequency Method's zone-balance rule favors picks that span at least two zones, since clustering in a single third happens less often than even coverage.
